So, pushing forward, we have some interesting news. The South African Film company, Excalibur Films, is set to release there first premier movie on the 2nd of February, 2007. The Film is entitled “The Adventures Of Jorran Skorm“, based on the short story written by Bryan Smith, and promises to packed full of Adventure and Action.

The Backstory is as follows:

The film is set Ten years into the future, and quite a few things have changed.  Jorran Skorm, the only and last surviving man of the Silverwraith Experiment, a top – secret government project to create Super Soldiers with psionic abilities, is on the run from the police, the government, the corrupt organization Naval Corp, and almost every man with a shotgun.

The third world war erupts across the globe, as the mercanery organization Naval Corp declares war upon almost every state in the world,  in a mad quest for power. As it turns out, Naval Corp funded the Silverwraith project, and Jorran Skorm lies at the top of their hit list. If anyone finds out that the United Nations has dealt with such an organization, created such a project and not to mention done this behind closed doors, with entire world would rebel. A revolution would be invevitable. And neither party would want this to happen.

So, war is declared between the U.N. and Naval Corp, after much disagreements between the two parties, and a few botched attempts to kill Skorm. Now, Jorran has to escape the two and manage to put an end to the war by killing the man behind NavalCorp; Adrian Stukov. With out a powerful leader, Naval Corp would quickly dissolve. But it won’t be easy.

Both parties want him dead, a legion of Hunter Killer robots now pursues him, and even with the help of his best friend Arcturus Rollance, it’s still a suicide mission….

But what on earth does this change?? Games are games, 3D or not, right? Perhaps, but now there is more to them than meets the eye. Each seems to be taking on it’s own very “personality” in a way, by what it includes. Need for Speed: Prostreet, Idiana Jones and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed are all good examples, and all push game genres to new levels of compelling excitement and action and adventure.

Need for Speed: Prostreet has many new features utilized for Racing style games, like an improved Damage Control System (Read up on TechZone for more information) Idiana Jones features a much more advanced AI system and Long term thinking, as an Example; If you, as Indy Himself, throw a goon off a top of a bus for instance, he displays excellent short term thinking by scrambling and trying desperately to grab on to the side of the bus, he may get a hold and jumb back on top to fight you again or might simply fall off and become a human example of Roadkill.

 Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, however, promises to take classic RPG (Role Playing Game) to new heights and raise the competition bar. The things you can do in the game are virtually limitless, from using simple force tricks to pull an object towards yourself or using more…. drastic….. powers, like making the very ceiling above you tumble down uopn your adversary. Greetings and welcome to the new presentation of Juju Online, now sporting a jetpack wearing Confucious as our primary mascot (and consultant) and a revamped post style theme. If you are wondering, yes, there’s more things to come, but let’s get down to this edition  of Juju Online, The Mad Jumbi Site.

Hopefully it’s good Juju this time….

 Starting on Monday, the 15th of October, is the the  first ever annual Juju Championship, sporting the finest players of Crawford College La Lucia, held inside the landmark Mehmood’s Tuck-In.  It’s been whittled down to just six of the best players, Kunal Rugnath, Dewalt Sadie, Bryan Smith, Rahul Dowlath, and Shailin Moodley.

On monday, the tournament kicks off at Mehmoods with Dewalt Sadie versing Rahul Dowlath, and the winner gets closer to becoming the Juju Grand Champion. The Winner will square off with Bryan Smith on 16th October 2007, Tuesday.

Be there.

Included in the upcoming updates to the site will be a spefic page, the Juju Tournament 2007, in which the match of the day will be reported in great detail, as well as the victor, and who will be in the next round.  Juju Online wishes good luck to all participating contestants.

Another thing to keep your eyes peeled on is the upcoming (for quite a while) BLiNG OF THE SHNiZ, in which Juju’s top ten gadgets/items/life enhancing material goods will be listed for you to check out as often as you like.

 The answer ends up being in-between two words; Style and Preformance. Starting with IE (Internet Explorer) it notably has it’s ups downs and imbetweens, and is reportedly the world’s most used internet browser. Overall, it’s what everyone started with, and Microsoft is almost desperate to make everyone stay with it.

Then you have Firefox. The “I.E. Wannabe” Firefox has a nice set of features, good stability, but the biggest problem it has is… not everyone’s heard about it. Sure many people do, but you’ll always meet Computer Illitrate Joe who doesn’t know Microsoft Outlook from Excel. And unfortunately for Firefox, there are quite a few Joes running around.

Then we meet Apple Safari. It’s got the bling, the Mac interface, all the features and the shiny compass as an Icon, but… we admit…. somethings missing for Windows. Maybe it’s just Microsoft. Maybe it’s all the rivalry and competition. But, for some reason, Safari and Windows just don’t have a good relationship. At the end of the day, Safari should have stayed in it’s Natural Habitat.

If you’re only interested in the best, the answer is soley up to you. At the end, it is really the users choice, style, and ultimate feelings that can determine which Internet Browser is for you.

Moving along, the National Juju Championship starts next week, Monday, at Crawford College La Lucia. It promises to be a spetacular event full of Style, Smarts and some unfortunate hands, and will surely be looked forward to. Juju Online wishes all participating players good luck (or Juju).

The rulebook can be bought for R2 South African Rand, which will contain the basic rules, guidelines to championships, and hints, tips, and even advanced strategies for long lasting matches. However, if you are in the vicinity of, Bryan Smith, he will be of course happy to give you a free lesson.

Moving along, Juju Online has recently acquired the Mozilla Firefox program, the free alternative to Internet Explorer, and  has decided to give it credit as Juju’s first review.

Firefox is a great alternative, and, from what the opinions of Juju Online are, a permanent solution for problems while surfing the web. Firefox comes with the ability to import all previous things from Internet Explorer (provided you were a user of it) such as Favourites/ Bookmarks, your History, passwords, and so on. Firefox also has the ability to open several pages separately as tags, all under one window, while previously on the old versions Internet Explorer, you would have to go and open up a new browser.

Juju Online is now using the program as it’s primary web browser.

Moving on, I am in the process of collecting some sceenshots from the new Indiana Jones Game and you can be sure that there will be a future post with both screenchots and a full review. And perhaps even a few links to keep in touch with the developments of the game.

Yes, it is official. Today, in a conference with the creators of Juju, Kunal Rugnath and Bryan Smith, it was deliberated that an official card game be created, and both of the creators have confirmed that the card game is currently in production, and planning.

The game’s rules have yet to be oficially published, but from what was gleaned from the conversation , the creators have both agreed that, In keeping with the sentence which originally inspired Juju Online, If a players shoelace becomes undone they will officially loose the match. Also, if a player wishes to forfeit they must untie their shoelace. To others this practice may seem odd, awkward and strange, but both the creators promise that it is purely to hold heritage to the first line: “Oh no, my shoe lace came out. That means BAD JUJU.” since the sentence, the Juju Empire has risen swiftly and silently, and thus the card game shall hold true to these events.

Moving forward, we are sure that all Disney Fans are delighted with the release of High School Musical 2. Juju Online wishes all Disney Channel Orientated subsribers a happy viewing.

It is also with a heavy heart that Juju Online has officially decided to cancel the Talk to TurboNerd feature, as Rahul Dowlath has sadly declined from the project. In it’s place will feature the replacement feautures, Bling of the Shniz, which will be an elaborate update page for the latest and gratest trend and technology advancements, For, in the words of Imtyaz ”Shniz” Rahim, ”Pimp your bling”.

The other feature which is soon to arrive is the Juju Feedback Center, in which you will be able to comment on what you enjoy, what you dislike, and what you would like to see on Juju Online. Whether it be from the Logo to the posts, you are free to comment on what you think about the site. It’s all part of helping us to improve and reflect whet you feel.

 Comments about these two features are welcome, and we would love to hear about what you think of them, as this can really help staff out when it comes to designing the features. Keep your eyes peeled to the site for updates and new developments.

As expertedly reviewed by Rahul Dowlath on our partner site Techzone, (www.tech-zone.co.nr) the new Ipod is set to be released upon to the shores of South Africa very soon, and will hopefully take over the credit cards of millions, although many have invested on the previous range of Ipods, (previous Nanos, Shuffles, etc), and may do not wish to change something on which they have spent so much money on. Keep fingers crossed for Apple, as these new Ipods are proven to be a big step for the company.

Moving on, an excellent source that I have discovered for Legal Game Mods ( Game Modifications) is www.filefront.com, the excellent site holds many branches for different game series, and also have mod branches for singular games as well. I promise to include a list of games supported in a future post of mine.

As a pro KotOR gamer myself, I find many of these mods to give a bright new feel to a game if you are looking for a replay, I specificly enjoyed The Brotherhood of Shadow, by mod author Silveredge9. The mod is featured as an ‘Expansion Pack’ to the original game, and when played through it actually feels as though you’ve unlocked a secret quest in the game and are playing through. The mod includes several memorable characters, (Daemon Drexel never gets out of my head) and the modifications to the modules are terrific.

Other games I am eager to play through (When they come out) are the Idiana Jones game (currnetly set for Playstation 3, I believe) and The Force Unleashed. Both will feature Lucasarts new DMM system, (Digital Molecular Matter, I believe) Similiar to the system of damage described by Rahul Dowlath for the Next Need for Speed; ProStreet, but much better. For instance, In gameplay, if you manage to hurl an enemy into a wall, the wall realisticly will become fractures or will collapse judging by the way it is hit. In basic terms, there are now limitless ways to destroy anything throughtout the course of the game. I will feature more info about those games in upcoming posts.

I am also happy to announce that the new Idiana Jones movie is being filmed (of whcih I know that many Indy fans are happy about) and Harrisson Ford is set to reprise his role as Indiana Jones. Marcus Brody is set to return as well.

Welcome on and all to the very first update of Juju Online. Our Site has just launched, and we do apologize for any inconvieniances caused. But as always and keeping with the way of the world, we are changing and have got some great stuff on the way you might want to check out.

Of the many features we hope to have on our rapidly expanding site, on the pride of place will be The Wolfman’s Rants, written by Bryan Smith, (Juju Online’s official creator)  and the coming soon feature, Talk to TurboNerd.  Also, keep on the lookout for our new page, What’s New. It promises to feauture mankinds latest and greatest technological advancements, and also promises to keep you informed on what they can do for you.
